Sligo Field Club present their 13th Annual Conference on 9th and 10th November. This year’s theme is: Archaeology & Mythology.
This topic is a noteworthy subject that is interested scholars for centuries. The Irish landscape is embued with mythological stories and these intertwine with the archaeology both above surface and below. The line up of speakers will include a depth and breath of speakers from across Ireland and the UK. The conference will begin at 9:30am will a full day programme on Saturday 9th November (light lunch included). On Sunday 10th we will be exploring sites including; Cairns Hill east Passage Tomb, Tobernault Holy Well and other sites of interest with Sam Moore (Lecturer in Archaeology at ATU) – weather permitting. You wont want to miss this exciting conference!
