The Myth of Eabha walk/talk by Leo Leydon

Ireland was the last landmass in Europe to be inhabited, the first people who came had to journey here by sea. The mythology in the Maugherow peninsula is that some of the first settler farmers to come to Ireland landed on the plains of Machaire Eabha. The peninsula is named after a land goddess or healing woman Eabha, who arrived here under the command of her female leader Cessair.
They settled here, clearing the trees and farming this fertile plain with cattle and sheep. Soon after arriving they began to measure time and the seasons for agricultural purposes, through astronomically identifying the spring and autumn equinox from Cloughcor portal tomb. The event takes place at Cloughcor portal tomb where Leo will explain how this was possible and how these early settlers could be so precise.
Good footwear advised and no dogs allowed because it is a working farm.
